Missouri City Landfill

Missouri City Landfill, located in Clay County, is a closed industrial and solid waste landfill that accepted its last shipment of waste in 1983. The Landfill is currently performing long-term monitoring and maintenance of the facility, including groundwater monitoring and hazardous waste constituent remediation activities.

Groundwater Collection Systems

There are four groundwater collection systems installed at the facility to collect groundwater that is impacted and prevent it from migrating off site.

Water Treatment Plant

An on-site water treatment plant was constructed to treat groundwater that is collected by the groundwater collection systems.
